What this tool does to your file

Extracting pages here is a change to the document's page tree rather than a re-render: the pages you pick are the same objects they always were, so selectable text, links and form fields all survive, and page sizes are untouched. Your file is read in your browser to draw the thumbnails, so the pages appear while the upload is still in progress and nothing has to be rendered on a server for you to see them. Click a page to keep it and click again to drop it: once you have picked something, the pages you did not pick grey out, so you can see what you are about to lose before you commit to it. The pages come back in the order the document had them, whatever order you clicked in, because a page's place in a document is not something a selection reorders. At least one page has to be dropped, since keeping all of them would simply hand back the file you uploaded. One file per job. If it is easier to name the pages you want gone than the ones you want, use Remove PDF pages instead: it is the same grid, read the other way round.
