What this tool does to your file
Each slide of the OpenDocument Presentation is rendered to a raster image — PNG, JPEG or TIFF — and returned as a zip, one image per slide. This is the tool to use when the slides need to look as they do on screen; the ODP-to-PDF conversion carries the text but not the layout. A single rendered image is capped at 24 million pixels, roughly 500 DPI on an A4-sized area, and that ceiling is checked against resolution and anti-aliasing together. Animations and transitions are not represented — each slide is captured in one final state — and speaker notes are not included. An .odp is a compressed container, frequently mostly images, so the limit that actually binds is inflation while reading, capped at 200 MB, rather than the size of the file you uploaded.
What happens to your files
- No account needed — Every tool works as a guest. Signing in raises the limits and keeps your files together, but nothing asks you to register before you get a result.
- It runs in your browser — There is nothing to install and nothing to keep up to date. Files travel to our servers over an encrypted connection, and come back the same way.
- Your files stay yours — Files and results stay in your account until you delete them. Files from a guest session that is never linked to an account are removed automatically after a period of inactivity.
- Size limits, stated up front — Up to 10 MB per file as a guest, and up to 25 MB signed in. You see the limit before you upload, not after.
