What this tool does to your file

An Apple Pages document is converted to a PDF and each page of that PDF is rendered to an image — PNG, JPEG or TIFF — returned as a zip. It inherits the Pages-to-PDF conversion’s behaviour, including the one thing that makes this format different: macOS smart punctuation is converted back to plain ASCII rather than becoming question marks, so apostrophes and dashes survive. Characters outside Latin-1 still do not, and images and exact layout are not reproduced. A rendered page is capped at 24 million pixels, about 500 DPI on A4. One further quirk of this format is worth knowing: browsers outside macOS have no idea what a .pages file is and report it as a generic zip or as nothing at all, so the upload declares the type on your behalf.

What happens to your files

No account needed — Every tool works as a guest. Signing in raises the limits and keeps your files together, but nothing asks you to register before you get a result.
It runs in your browser — There is nothing to install and nothing to keep up to date. Files travel to our servers over an encrypted connection, and come back the same way.
Your files stay yours — Files and results stay in your account until you delete them. Files from a guest session that is never linked to an account are removed automatically after a period of inactivity.
Size limits, stated up front — Up to 10 MB per file as a guest, and up to 25 MB signed in. You see the limit before you upload, not after.
