Convert Pages to PDF
Turn an Apple Pages (.pages) document — including old iWork ’09 files that Pages itself no longer opens — into a PDF anyone can read.
How it works
- Drag and drop your Apple Pages (.pages) files below.
- Reorder them if needed.
- Click Convert to download as a PDF file.
What this tool does to your file
An Apple Pages document’s text is extracted and written to a PDF anyone can open, including people with no Apple device. It carries the wording and the pictures rather than the design: images placed in the text come across at their size, in reading order, but the exact layout is not reproduced, text does not wrap around them, and no fonts are embedded. Characters outside Latin-1 become a question mark — the same rule the other text-to-PDF tools follow — with one deliberate exception made for this format. Pages runs macOS text substitution by default, so a document typed with an ordinary apostrophe is stored with a curly one, and every double hyphen is stored as an em dash. Those are converted back to their plain ASCII originals rather than becoming question marks, because a document with a question mark where every apostrophe used to be is not a successful conversion. Non-Latin scripts still become question marks, where substituting would be the lie.
What happens to your files
- No account needed — Every tool works as a guest. Signing in raises the limits and keeps your files together, but nothing asks you to register before you get a result.
- It runs in your browser — There is nothing to install and nothing to keep up to date. Files travel to our servers over an encrypted connection, and come back the same way.
- Deleted means deleted — When you delete a file, it is erased from our storage straight away, with no hidden copies or backups. Uploads and results are deleted five minutes after you download your result: always as a guest, and by default with an account.
- Size limits, stated up front — Up to 10 MB per file as a guest, and up to 25 MB signed in. You see the limit before you upload, not after.
